This project was done for Graphic Design 1. The objective was to create three different seasonal greeting cards using only di-cuts. I chose to make Christmas cards using a tri-fold card. Here is what the card looks like after opening each flap.

9/11 vs. Katrina Disaster Fall 05'

I made this project for my Concepts art class which was a part lecture part studio course. The assignment was to create something that spoke for a group of people. I wanted to compare the Sept. 11 attacks with the Katrina disaster. The relief efforts were a chaotic mess. I was interested learning about comparing and contrasting the relief efforts and how they impacted people as well. This is a newspaper collage of articles about the relief effort in New Orleans in the shape of the world trade towers.

Truth Logo Fall 05'

This was the first Graphic Design project I completed. The assignment was to come up with a logo for a non-profit organization. I created a kidney bean shaped head with the word Truth written in randsom note style type. After the logo was made, I created stationary and an envelope for the company to use.

Money Project Fall 05'

In the next row is a cut-out of the word MONEY. It has shadows coming out of it to show the greed and shallowness of money. To the right is an image of a doller bill selected parts in zoom and colored green to suggest money fraud.
In the next row is the word money that was cut out from magazine letters to look like a randsom note. To the right is a collage of doller bill shaped pieces of green that was cut out from a magazine. The center is a piece of a doller bill.

Abstract Body Parts Spring 2005'

I made this piece in my Drawing 1 class. Everybody in the class took turns going up to the center of the room one at a time and taking a pose. Everybody else started drawing the person and had two minutes to draw whatever body part they wanted at whatever scale. After every two minutes, we would all rotate our papers 90 degrees and someone new would go to the center of the room. The result is an abstract body form with highlighted areas of interest.
